A perfect start of the season...
The woman basketball team of US La Glacerie starts the season of NF2 with a perfect series of 4 wins in 4 matches.
We interviewed one of its most important player: Sarune Povilionyte(#13)
Can you present yourself?
My name is Sarune Povilionyte. I am 25years old and I am from Lithuania. It’s a country of basketball. It is the most popular sport of all there, so it`s no exception with me also.. I am a basketball player.
When did you start playing basketball?
I started playing basketball when I was 8 years old.
Why did you come in France?
Last year I finished my studies in university and I had a proposition to play here in France. I was interested to try something new in my life, so since then I am here in Cherbourg
What are your objectives this season?
I believe that this season our team is able to go to N1.
Where did you play before?
I have been playing in different basketball clubs of Lithuania before.
Do you want to stay in La Glacerie?
I like everything about La Glacerie. everybody is very friendly and the atmosphere is very good here.
Do you like training the children?
Yes, I like trainings with the children, because it`s a very good practice for me to become a coach someday.
What are your best memories in the team of La Glacerie?
Each game,the supporters, the team, life there- they are my best memories.

The French football team wins its last 2 matches.
On Friday, October 10th, France won 6-0 against Australia in a friendly game. Ribery, Benzema, Cabaye,Giroud and Debuchy scored.
On Tuesday, October 14th, they beat Finland 3-0 in a qualifier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Unfortunately, they haven't managed to get directly qualified and they will have to win a play-off match in November.

My best memory was the arrival.

On the 29th of December in Paris, took place the « LNB All-Star Game 2013 ». It is a show where there are the best French players, and the foreign players. They were a lot of people, around 14.590
The French player Boungou-Colo was elected MVP.
Each year there is a shoot from the middle of the court. This year Thomas won 100,000 euros.

The Super Bowl
This year, the Super Bowl was the fourty eighth. With more than 100 million of TV spectators, it had to be a show at the height of the event ! On Sunday evening, it was the event of the year on TV in the U.S.A. The final of the american football's championship of the NFL ! It was the Denver Broncos vs the Seattle Seahawks. Like each time, a lot of artists sang on Sunday, like Queen Latifah, Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. At the end it was a brilliant victory of the Seattle Seahawks.

Premier league
Today we inform you about the Premier League. On the 8 and 9 february, a few surprises took place. In fact Arsenal lost against Liverpool 1-5 ; Manchester United and the Outsider : Fulham do an even match 2-2. After the hat trick of Hasard against Newcastle, Chelsea has been the 1st place of the Premier League. It's a great championship !

Stade Malherbe in Ligue 1
Stade Malherbe of Caen graduates in Ligue 1 . It played vs Nîmes on Thursday 13 May and the score is 1-1. After the bad early season (it was 8th) it woke up !!
The best scorer is Mathieu Duhamel with 23 goals .
When the match vs Nîmes finished, it is a great deliverance. Many supporters come in the grass to party and sing « qui ne saute pas n'est pas caennais !! et !!! … »
After leaving the Ligue 1, Caen finds back the elite of the french football for the greatest joy of the audience. They have to recruit the players to stay in Ligue 1 and keep his best players .
